We think it is very normal that we can tap hot water everywhere and, in our part of the world, that is in fact the case. It’s actually only noticeable when there’s no hot water. A water heater is therefore crucial for hygiene and our comfort.

A.O. Smith has knowledge of all techniques and is happy to advise on putting together a good hot water installation.
Every situation is different. The amount of hot water, the desired temperature and peak loads must be included in the advice for the best hot water system. Usually, a combination of techniques can be used to create an installation that is sustainable, reliable and financially responsible. For example, a heat pump in combination with a gas-fired or electric water heater to absorb peak loads.

  • DRE Plus

    The DRE Plus series consists of electric water heaters that are particularly suitable for industrial applications due to their power and capacity. The ‘Plus’ in this range is the display that provides various control and reading options.

     

  • Twister II

    Twister is a fully room-sealed stainless steel condensing high-efficiency water heater (93% gross). Plug-and-Play technology; connect air inlet, exhaust outlet, water, electricity, and gas, set the temperature and the system functions properly.

  • BFC Cyclone

    BFC Cyclone is a fully room-sealed condensing high-efficiency water heater (97% gross). Flexible flue options allow this water heater to be placed almost anywhere. This water heater is fitted with an automatic gas/air premix burning system including burner modulation. BFC Cyclone is standard delivered with low-maintenance powered anodes.

  • ITS – Indirect solar system

    The ITS indirect solar system consist of an indirect tank which is connected to a boiler (electric, gas or oil) or water heater. The optimum installation can be constructed by using different accessories. The ITS (as well as the ITE) can be part of a solar water heating system. It can be installed with or without a drain back system.

  • Indirect solar system – ITE

    The indirect solar system ITE consists of an indirect tank which is connected to a boiler (electric, gas or oil) or water heater. The optimum installation can be constructed by using different accessories. The ITE (as well as the ITS) can be part of a solar water heating system. It can be installed with or without a drainback system.

  • SGS – solar system with ITE

    SGS solar system with ITE is installed in combination with an ITE storage tank with integrated heat exchanger. The collectors are connected to the heat exchanger and the available heat is transferred to the tank. If the temperature of the water in the SGS differs more than 5 degrees from the water in the ITE, the heat transfer from the ITE to the SGS starts up. If necessary, the SGS heats the water to draw-off temperature.

  • SGE

    SGE is a compact installation with integrated solar heat exchanger. Apart from its excellent suitable size for restricted spaces, the SGE is also a very efficient appliance. The collectors are connected to the lower heat exchanger, and the heat is transferred from the collectors to the water. The upper heat exchanger afterheats, if necessary, until the water has reached the desired temperature. In this installation the solar contribution is fully utilized.

  • DRE

    DRE is a three phase electric water heater primarily used in commercial applications. This appliance is fitted with 3 to 9 Incoloy-sheated elements with a maximum rating of 54 kW. DRE has a cascade control of the electric elements to ensure steady and responsive heating.

  • EES

    EES is a vertical electric water heater for residential or small commercial applications. This water heater is available with a capacity from 115 up to 450 litres. The appliance is fitted with 2 replaceable Incoloy-sheated elements. Each element is provided with an independant control thermostat.

  • ITE – indirect tank

    ITE indirect tank is a water heater used in solar applications. The ITE indirect tank is standard available in capacities varying from 389 up to 1024 liters with a nominal output from 52 up to 87 kW. For larger solar installations the large IT appliances are used.

  • ITS

    ITS is an indirect water heater for a wide range of applications. This water heater is fitted with 2 single-wall spiral heat exchangers. This appliance is available in capacities varying from 289 up to 1007 litres.

  • ST – storage vessel

    ST storage vessel is available in capacities varying from 312 up to 2820 liters which makes it very suitable to numerous applications. The ST storage vessel has PermaGlas Ultra Coat second-generation glass coating to prevent corrosion.
